Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website, which let the site remember your actions and preferences. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, serve equivalent purposes and are covered by this policy.

The website uses necessary cookies, which are always on, together with statistics cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies (Meta Pixel). The latter two are set only if you give your consent in the notice shown on your first visit. Until you choose, the scripts are not loaded at all: these are not tools running in a reduced mode, they are tools that never start.

Alongside them we run a cookieless statistics tool that stores nothing on your device and counts page views in aggregate only. It needs no consent and keeps working normally if you refuse the optional cookies.

• Fonts are served from our own servers. They are bundled when the site is built, so no request goes out to Google servers when you visit.
• There are no embedded third party videos, maps, widgets or social buttons that could set cookies of their own.
• The contact form sends your message by email and sets no cookie.

Refusing is as easy as accepting: both options sit in the same notice, one click each. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

Necessary, no consent required. These are set only as a result of your own action and are needed to provide the feature you asked for, which is why they are exempt from the consent requirement. They hold no personal details and do not allow you to be identified.

Statistics, only with your consent. Set by Google (Google Analytics 4) and used to see how many people visit and which pages are read. If you do not accept them, they are not set at all.

Marketing, only with your consent. Set by Meta (Meta Pixel) and used to measure whether our advertising brings visitors, and to show ads to people who have already been here. If you do not accept them, they are not set at all.

If you never touch the language switch and you refuse the optional cookies, the only cookie left is cg_consent, which is the record of your refusal.

We use the following standard classification, so it is clear where each one sits:

• Strictly necessary: they provide core functionality and security. They need no consent. NEXT_LOCALE sits here, as a preference cookie you explicitly asked for, together with cg_consent, which records your own choice.
• Statistics: they measure traffic and usage. Used (Google Analytics 4) solely on the basis of your consent.
• Functionality: they remember further display preferences. Not used on this website.
• Marketing: used for targeted advertising and remarketing. Used (Meta Pixel) solely on the basis of your consent.

Our hosting provider keeps technical server logs, as every server does, recording details such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request. These logs serve the security and stability of the service, are not linked to cookies and are not used to analyse your behaviour.

Submitting the contact form goes through an email service, which processes your message in order to deliver it. Links to client projects and third party platforms lead to websites that apply their own cookie policies.

If you accept the statistics or marketing cookies, the resulting data is received by Google Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited respectively, who may transfer it to their parent companies in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you refuse the relevant categories no such transfer takes place, because the tools are never loaded.

• Session cookies: deleted automatically as soon as you close the browser.
• Persistent cookies: kept for a set period or until you delete them. NEXT_LOCALE (12 months), cg_consent (6 months), _ga and _ga_<identifier> (2 years) and _fbp (3 months) all belong here.
• Your consent does not last indefinitely. After 6 months cg_consent expires and the notice appears again, so your choice stays current.

The simplest route is the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page: it reopens the consent notice so you can change or withdraw whatever you chose. The change takes effect immediately.

Separately, you can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. If you delete NEXT_LOCALE, the site will simply pick a language again from your browser settings. If you delete cg_consent, you will be asked again on your next visit.

The policy is updated whenever the technologies we use change. The version in force is published on this page with an updated date.
